I’ve long been drawn to long exposures, often shooting them handheld and embracing their imperfections. During the weekly National Day Parade 25 rehearsals, I slowed things down and photographed the fireworks using a tripod.

Shot a week before the actual parade, access was limited and many areas were already boarded up, so the vantage point wasn’t ideal. These images were made with a tripod and cable release.
